It is our team's purpose and mission is to demonstrate to the public how small changes in building and design practices can have a global impact. By following the principles of reduction, sustainability, and energy conservation, our team will construct and display a solar home that benefits the surrounding environment without sacrificing aesthetics or comfort.
Reduction
ALOeTERRA is committed to making more out of less. We believe in using domestic energy sources, reducing our dependence on finite fossil fuels from foreign nations. We believe in multifunctional components that require less energy to make and to operate. Finally, we believe in more efficient energy use resulting in less energy consumption.
Sustainability
A sustainable home is a home that reduces strains on the environment. ALOeTERRA recognizes that a sustainable home must also uphold the lifestyle of the inhabitants. The ALOeTERRA home is an example of how sustainability, aesthetics, and comfort can coexist.
Energy Conservation
The ALOeTERRA home is constructed from energy saving products that are currently available to the general public. These products use less energy than traditional products but accomplish the same task. Using less energy is beneficial to our health and to the environment.
